How to Transfer Money from Cash App to Bank Account?

When you receive and accept a payment through the Cash App, you want quick access to the money. You can transfer money from the cash app to your bank account, cash app wallet or cash card. Once the transfer is complete, your money is available for purchases or payments.

Transfer Money from Your Cash App Account

When you’ve received money from someone through the Cash App, you want to get the money into your bank account as soon as possible. You can transfer money from the cash app to your bank account by doing the following:

Open the Cash app on your phone.

Enter your phone number or email address to sign up.

Enter the one-time password (OTP) that you will receive via SMS or email.

From the home screen, tap the “Bank” icon at the bottom of the screen. This will open the “Banking” menu.

Select “Withdraw” to transfer money from the app to your account.

Enter the amount you want to transfer. You don’t have to transfer all the funds at once.

Press “Withdraw” again.

Choose the speed at which you want to receive the deposit. There is a small fee for instant deposits. So if you can wait a few days (1-3 business days), choose “Standard”.

Enter your PIN or use Touch ID to confirm the transfer.

Transfer Money without a Linked Bank Account

If you don’t have a bank account/debit card linked to your Cash App account, you can still accept and send accepted funds. The funds are simply transferred to your Cash App wallet and not to a bank account. While some stores allow you to pay for goods or services without a physical card, it’s more efficient to link a card to your account. If you don’t want to link your bank account to your Cash App, you can request a Cash Card. This is a free, customizable debit card linked to your Cash App account. The Cash Card allows you to transfer money from your account to the card that you can use in stores.

Application for a Cash Card

If you want to use a cash card instead of linking a bank account, you have that option. To get a Cash Card, proceed as follows:

Open the Cash app on your phone.

Sign in to your account with your email address or phone number and the OTP.

From the menu at the bottom of the screen, tap the small square icon.

Select “Get a free debit card”.

Choose your map style (note that not every style is free).

Personalize your card and click Done when you have your card the way you want it.

Tap on “Order card” to complete the process. Your Cash Card will be sent to you by post.

Once you have received your Cash Card, you can transfer money from your Cash App account to your Cash Card.

You have the option to transfer money from your Cash App account to your bank account, Cash App Wallet or Cash Card.
